Applications Due Monday, Jan. 15
Please help us to spread the word about the New Orleans Health Innovators Challenge (NOLAHI) to healthcare innovators, entrepreneurs and startup companies. NOLAHI is brought to you by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana and Ochsner Health System and focuses on uncovering innovative digital solutions for three of the city's most critical health issues.
Improving diabetes care management, patient navigation and data interoperability through technology while bringing vibrant entrepreneurs and startups to New Orleans are the goals of NOLAHI. Applications are open until Jan. 15.
The Challenge will culminate at New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) in March when finalists will pitch their solutions. Selected finalist(s) are eligible to receive a cash prize of up to $36,000, as well as in-kind prizes like free co-working space, a spot on a startup accelerator program and more. Contact NOLABA's Sally Lindsay with any questions.
We thank our NOLAHI partners for their support: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, Ochsner Health System, Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann, Capital One, LookFar, Propeller, The Warehouse, The Shop, Launch Pad, New Orleans BioInnovation Center, Tulane Health System and Lafayette General Foundation.
Stone Pigman Walther Wittmann is contributing a blog series as part of the campaign to promote the Challenge. The Health Tech sector is growing at a rapid pace, with over $4.5 billion in venture capital invested this year alone, and Parker N. Smith & David C. Rieveschl explain in two posts how intellectual property is an important issue for health technology startup companies.
